What Ember knows about you
The short version: almost nothing, and never your words.
Your ritual stays on this device
Your goal, your intention, your reflections and your journal live in this browser's local storage. They are never sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data deletes them, and nobody — including me — can get them back.
Anonymous usage counting
Ember counts anonymous events so I can see where people get stuck: things like "a session started", "a break finished", "someone left during the second block". Each browser gets a random id that is not tied to you, your name or your email. No goal, no intention, no reflection and no journal entry is ever included. There are no cookies and no third-party analytics.
Feedback
If you fill in the feedback card after a session, your ratings and your note are sent to me. An email address is included only if you have typed one and ticked the consent box. It is used to ask you about your experience, and for nothing else.
The waitlist
If you give me your email, I store it so I can send you your session summary and tell you when Ember reaches iPhone. Nothing is pre-ticked — the box is yours to leave empty. A few emails a month at most, every one with an unsubscribe link. The list is never sold, rented or shared.
Your account, if you make one
Signing in is optional and the ritual never needs it. If you do, Ember stores your finished sessions, your reflections and your goals against your account so the same numbers reach every device you use. Delete the account from this screen and all of it goes, for good, in one step.
Removing your data
Write to hello@emberfocus.io and I will tell you what is stored against your address, or delete it. "↺ Reset all data" on the home screen clears everything Ember has stored in this browser.
